Licq crash: URL's

Reported by: nobody Owned by:
Priority: normal Milestone:
Component: None Version:

Description

When I Mozilla and select a URL which I want to send, I click on a nickname on my Licq list. Then, Licq sends it as a URL. However, I know certain people don't see URL's since they ignore them. That's why I put the in a message.

Now here's the problem: when Licq wants to send it as a URL I select it needs to send it as a message. And there is the exact point where Licq crashed. It actually stays online, but the whole interface freezes. A kill (-9) is needed to get rid of it.

This happens to me too, exactly as described. It also happens when I click a user's name and change the message type from message to URL. licq locks up and I need to kill -9 it.

Could you rephrase that? I have trouble understanding you. Write it down again step by step. i.e. 1. I did this

 1. I did that
 2. It crashed

:)

Ok, its easy to reproduce this one.

First, to verify, I am running:

Licq version 1.0.3/SSL Qt GUI plugin version 1.0.3. Compiled on: May 30 2001 (with KDE support)

I have Qt 2.3.1 installed, and the latest stable KDE (2.1.1 with the upgraded 2.1.2 kdelibs)

To reproduce the licq problem:

1. Double click on a user as if you were sending them a message. 2. Pull down the message type menu and choose "URL" 3. Boom! Licq crashes.

I have to kill -9 it.

This must be 1 priority If you copy and paste too many URLs like me, you get crash LICQ every time you open a new message dialog, with an url in the clipboard.

Could I have a more descriptive way to reproduce this? I am unable to reproduce this.
