licq hangs on receive file

when i try to receive a file, licq hangs (lags) for nearly two minutes and i cannot do anything. this ever happens between clicking "accept" and the start of the transfer, so to say while opening the "select folder" window. not so fine, because the chatpartner's client very often closes connection before the transmission starts. cheers, jan

Does it hang *before* the file selection dialog pops up, or after you have chosen the directory? Which version of Licq are you using, does it happen with the current SVN version? Do you use the qt-gui or the kde-gui plugin? Can you generally accept files, or are direct connections blocked by your firewall?

hangs before selection dialog pops up, using current cvs-devel, kde-gui plugin, receiving files generally works port forwarding on firewall is enabled, file transfers work if chat partner has a _very_ long timeout
