deadlock when opening a direct chat between licq clients

Description
Hello, i tried to connect two licq clients (V 1.3.4, on UBUNTU Feisty) and during the handshaking a deadlock occurs. The point of deadlock is when packets containing color and font are exchanged. Last line on the client requesting the chat is : 01:13:12: [TCP] Chat: Waiting for color/font response.
while on the other side te last lines are: 01:07:34: [TCP] Chat: Received handshake from NNNNNNNNN [v8]. 01:07:34: [TCP] Chat: Received color packet.
Occasionally this deadlock doesn't occur and further packets are received (color/font on first client and font on the second one) and everithing works (direct chat windows open etc etc.).
i downloaded and tried the nightly tar and the same behaviour occurs.
