LICQ fails to cancel events

Description

I have a situation where I cannot get rid of some messages that come up every time I connect to ICQ now, and its getting damn annoying. I can't immediately see what has changed to do this, it has been working fine.

I am behind a firewall though which may be causing it!

System = RedHat? 7.1, KDE2.1 and licq 1.0.3 and QT GUI plugin 1.0.3.

If I find anything out I will amend this report.

I am also having trouble establishing chat sessions, this seems to be an "Ack" problem or a version incompatibility problem... All my friends use windoze for some reason....

Shouldn't this be a bug, not a patch? Anyway, I too have this problem, which I believe is caused by iptables and or masquerading. One solution is to use a Socks server. I did this for the Windows client and the problem is no more.

Well, I found out more.

It simply doesn't work at all now with anyone in my contact list. I still haven't had time to get to the bottom of it, but all I do know is I changed nothing on my system. I think it has something to do with the ICQ servers, and seemed to coincide with someone telling me AOL now control the ICQ servers - also a new release of the ICQ client. This is unconfirmed!

Not got any further. And yes it should be a bug, sorry.

Cheers

Mike
