Qt 3.0.x-mt gui, Remote backspace

Description

I use Licq 1.2.0a, with the qt-gui plugin compiled against Qt 3.0.5 with multi-threading support enabled.

In chat mode, when a remote user on ICQ presses the backspace key, nothing happens in my local Licq pane -- the cursor does not move, and the character is not deleted.

Each time the remote backspace is pressed, Qt reports the following to standard error:

"QTextCursor::gotoParagraph Index: -1 out of range"

I noticed the same effect when using Licq 1.0.4 and Qt 3.0.4.

I don't know if the problem is with Qt, Licq, or me. :-)

Hmm, I wonder how you got licq starting at all. I have also compiled licq 1.2.0a - qt-gui-plugin against Qt 3.0.5. When I try to start licq, I get 10:32:27: [WRN] Licq: Ignoring stale lockfile (pid 25930) 10:32:27: [ERR] Unable to load plugin (qt-gui): /opt/kde3/lib/licq/licq_qt-gui.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory. This is obviously not correct, that file is there and I ran ldconfig for it. I used gcc-3.2, and after failing to start licq I also used qt-2.3.2 instead of qt-3.0.5 and an licq CVS snapshot instead of the 1.2.0a release. Could you please post here what steps you took to get licq running? Thanks very much,

Andreas

This is fixed in the latest CVS version of Licq. Read http://www.rhrk.uni-kl.de/~dmuell/licq/
