Trillian buddies crash

Hi,

any trillian user of my contactlist crashes if i want to write the first message to them. Every message in the following dialogue doesn't let the trillianclient crash. Huh, strange?!

I'm using a licq CVS Snapshot of July 25th (and any CVS Shot before did the same ...) The buddies are using the current Trillian client (Trillian Basic 3.1)

Hi! I just wrote a message to trillian, because of that bug. I am using Licq 1.3.0 and my trillian buddies crash everytime, if i try a direct connection to them. Sending via the server works fine. SInce my default is to first try to send directly, they get shot every time, i write the first message.

You should really report this to Trillian. If their client crashes when it receives certain data, it can be duplicated in a stand alone program (exploit) to crash any Trillian client. In fact, if you find otu the packet that is sent that crashes it, you can report it the Bugtraq mailing list, but I highly suggest reporting it to Trillian first.
