ICQ Login problems
It seems the ICQ servers has started to reject old clients. Several clients (included Licq) were blocked from logging on.
Latest SVN version (as of r6387) of Licq contains an update to allow Licq to log on again.
For users of Licq 1.3.4 or 1.3.5, the following patches should get you back online:
Login patch for Licq 1.3.4
Login patch for Licq 1.3.5
Patch instructions
1) Download and unpack Licq source
2) Go to licq directory and run "patch -p0 < licq-1.3.5-logonfix.patch"
3) Build as normal (./configure and make)
4) Install. (If you already had the same Licq version installed, just copying src/licq to /usr/bin or /usr/local/bin should be enough.)

Translators Needed
Qt4-Gui has come a long way since it was branched of from the old Qt-Gui and is now stable enough to be included in the next release of Licq.
However, all the changes, improvements and fixes also means that the translations have been affected and most of them are currently very out of date. Some of them needs to be updated for Qt-Gui as well.
Unless we get them up to date again, some of the translations will probably be dropped. But we would of course much rather see them updated and maintained.
So if you would like to see Licq in your native language, your contribution would be very welcome.
For more information see this thread or join us in the Licq IRC channel.
Qt4-GUI moved to trunk
Qt4-GUI plugin is planed to be included in the next release and has thus been moved in svn. The new location is trunk/qt4-gui (was branches/qt-gui_qt4). See this mail for information on how to update your working copy.

Work in progress
It's been very quiet here for a while so here's an update on what's happened since 1.3.4:
Qt4-GUI
With Qt4 released the work is ongoing to port the Qt-GUI plugin to take advantage of the new Qt version.
The porting is almost done, the worst bugs seem to be gone and it's very usable so feel free to try it out and tell us what you think.
More information, current status and how to get it up and running can be found on the Qt-GUI Plugin page.
Licq 2.0
ICQ is far from the only IM protocol out there and even though MSN support was added in Licq 1.3 it was added on top of a one-protocol implementation.
Licq 2.0 is a rewrite of large parts of the code to improve handling of multiple protocols and provide a more flexible plugin interface.
The work on Licq 2.0 is still far from finished and when it's done the plugins will need to be adapted to the new plugin interface as well so don't expect this just yet.
Licq 1.3
Even though it's more fun to work on the new stuff, we've still managed to fix some bugs and make a few improvements on Licq 1.3.

1.3.4 RC3
Time for another RC. This time we have fixed a minor bug with lock files in RC2, as well a few possible crashes, some annoying bugs (leaving a blank window after all tabs were closed), and others as well. It is reccommended to use this version over 1.3.2, since many bugs have been fixed since then. And besides, we need you to find other problems! Here are the download links:
